NWC has taken a series of actions in the past few years slated to expand its export base. In March 2001, the co***ny invested RMB 50 million to establish an enterpreise named Chongqing Kinglong Fine Strontium Chemical Co., Ltd in Tongliang, a county of Chongqing. In April 2003, it joined with CHEMCHINA , one of China¡¯s Top 500, to establish Chongqing Zhonghao Jilong Strontium Co., Ltd. In Oct 2004, Chongqing Kinglong Fine Strontium Chemical Co., Ltd, cooperated with Mitsubishi Corporation and Sakai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., to establish a joint-venture to cover the R&D and production of electronic grade strontium carbonate. As the first enterprise in China capable of producing such products, the joint venture is playing a leading role in this sector in terms of production and quality. Among co***nies dealing in strontium products in China, NWC is top-ranked both for its export volume and foreign exchange earnings.
NWC has for years maintained a total export volume of over US$ 30 million. It has been recognized as one of the ¡°Top 30 Export-oriented Enterprises in Chongqing¡± three years in a row and was named the ¡°Advanced Import and Export Enterprise in Chongqing ¡± several times.
